Using trade shows for leads instead of sales

The life of most businesses are leads.  If you have a product to sell you need people to contact to try to make a sale to.  Well one of the misused ways to generate leads are trade shows.  I say misused because most people try to get the sale at the trade show.  Sure you can make sales at the trade show but if you really want to make a lot of sales concentrate on generating leads.Because quite a few people at the trade show just want to look.  They aren’t prepared to buy but if you get their information you can follow up with them.

So if you are going to use trade shows the right way and use them to generate leads you need a great portable trade show display setup.  I say you need a great one set up because you really have to have something that attracts people’s attention.  In other words if people are walking by and they don’t like what they see they will walk away.  So make sure your booth is professional and attractive.

The next thing you want to do is have retractable banner stands.So then you can have your logo or nice image that you set up so it gets more attention to your booth.A booth will be a good foundation but a good banner really adds to the look that will attract people to come visit.

Finally once you get them over to your tradeshow booth instead of concentrating on the sale concentrate on the first step.To put it another way you don’t run first, you always have to learn to walk.You have to think of it as the first step when you get their information.You will definitely make more sales using this mindset.Think about it, what do you think will be easier to do, get them to buy something or get their information?Their information is something that will be easy to get so you will get a lot more leads then sales.And as stated earlier, leads are the key to the success of your business.
